Accounting & Operations Executive

Role Overview
The Accounting & Finance Executive will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial processes and operational workflows across iVoiceUp’s entity in Egypt. This role requires a high level of accuracy, ownership, and the ability to coordinate across departments and external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and service providers as auditors, banks, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
● Manage bookkeeping and daily accounting entries in accordance with company procedures (Egypt & Dubai entities).
● Prepare and reconcile invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
● Lead monthly closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and revenue recognition.
● Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, account statements, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
● Maintain accurate and well-organized accounting records for iVoiceUp Egypt and bookkeeping/financial statements for iVoiceUp Dubai.
● Monitor payments, collections, aging reports, and outstanding balances.
● Prepare financial summaries and support investor and internal reporting requirements.
● Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and financial policies.
● Maintain and update a financial compliance calendar (tax filing deadlines, payroll cut-offs, vendor renewals, board reporting cycles).
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
● Manage daily treasury activities including bank transfers, vendor payments, and cash disbursements.
● Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports and rolling forecasts.
● Monitor account balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and expansion needs.
● Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate cash/bank ledgers.
● Coordinate with banks on transactions, facilities, account openings, and required documentation.
● Track and plan upcoming financial obligations including payroll, taxes, vendor payments, subscription renewals, and SaaS expenses.
Tax & Audit Coordination
● Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors for statutory filings (VAT, corporate tax, WHT, payroll tax) and year-end audits.
● Prepare required schedules, documentation, and reconciliations for tax and audit reviews.
● Assist in implementing recommendations from audit findings and ensuring ongoing compliance.
Cross-Functional Financial Support
● Liaise with sales and customer success teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, revenue tracking, and collections follow-up.
● Collaborate with HR and payroll service providers to verify payroll calculations, reimbursements, benefits, and related journal entries.
● Support department heads with budget tracking, variance explanations, and cost optimization insights.
● Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
● Maintain tracking of all company subscriptions, software tools, and vendor contracts to ensure timely renewals and correct cost allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3–6 years of experience in accounting and operations, preferably in a SaaS or B2B environment.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Odoo).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
